WE SELECTED THIS DYNAMIC DUO AFTER INTERVIEWING SEVERAL FIRMS, AND THEY PROVED TO BE WELL BEYOND BEING JUST THE RIGHT CHOICE.

I have participated in numerous real estate transactions, and three months ago, I would have had trouble imagining enjoying one, let alone a couple. But that was before I worked with Debbi and Adam of Highland Partners. We selected this dynamic duo after interviewing several firms, and they proved to be well beyond being just the right choice. The professionalism and rigor that Adam brings to the business side of the equation is perfectly complemented by Debbi’s simply superb sense of design and flair for style. I was especially impressed with the way she took the raw material of our beloved (and old-fashioned) Piedmont home, and breathed new life into it, giving it a totally contemporary feel and a consistent aesthetic, while respecting, and in fact actually enhancing, its vintage elegance and charm.

In fact, we enjoyed working with this couple so much that we invited them to work with us on our next transaction, as we sought, and quickly bought, our replacement home. I never thought I’d say this, but I almost wish that there was another real estate deal in the offing now that we’ve found such excellent and absolutely first-rate partners with whom to work! -Tony

DEBBI AND ADAM ARE TOP NOTCH!

Debbi and Adam are top notch! They helped me stage and sell my Oakland home quickly and with a great offer. I live far away and travel a lot, and I didn’t even have to lift a finger–they did everything for me! This team is worth their weight in gold and I look forward to working with them again on my next real estate transaction.  -Jennifer

DEBBI & ADAM HAVE VAST EXPERIENCE and WILL WORK WITH YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY

Debbi and Adam helped me considerably with the sale of my Piedmont home. It was a major project from renovation to final sale that took many months with construction delays and challenges. As a team they worked diligently and with care throughout that time, long before the “For Sale” sign hit the curb. From assistance with finding good vendors, to working to help me with the inspection process and finding a good fit with a home stager, it made my life in selling the property something less to worry about. They simply made my life easier and they gave great ideas along the way, while even daring the construction dust!

Anyone that is looking to put their home on the market would do themselves well to meet with Debbi and Adam. They have a vast collective experience of the market, and will work with you every step of the way in a straight forward, down to earth, smartly applied, but also light-hearted way that makes the experience for everyone involved work smoothly.-Carl

Chase Betta is the next generation of a family of real estate professionals dating back to the early 70’s when his grandfather Vince DiMaggio syndicated his first building in the Grand Lake neighborhood of Oakland. Chase has worked for Vince for as long as he can remember, and grew up learning valuable business acumen from his parents Adam and Debbi at HIGHLAND PARTNERS now Corcoran Global Living. A Piedmont native and longtime Bay Area resident, Chase has a special understanding of the markets in and around the flagship brokerage of HIGHLAND PARTNERS. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor’s degree in Ethnic Studies and Communications, which he aims to use to further support his clients as they navigate the nuances of their own journey. workouts in review

Debbi DiMaggio

Each week I try one, two, even three new workouts or health & beauty treatments. What I noticed as I embarked on new workouts was that I wasn’t working all my muscles by just doing SoulCycle. I still love SoulCycle, don’t get me wrong, but I wasn’t really strengthening my stomach or arms. I noticed how weak I was in class at Physique 47 and especially when I was swinging from the silks in Aerial Yoga. I had to forgo some exercises like climbing the silk, pulling my body up while using my upper arms strength. It was a bit disappointing. At least I now know what I need to do. Abs and arms, beware.

Revolution Evolution with P.volve

Monday, January 14, 2019
Debbi DiMaggio

The end of any vacation is always a little bittersweet especially when we have our adult kids with us!

Kicking off the New Year in Aspen was of course, amazing. Fresh powder and no lines!

But I must say I am excited to begin my newest fitness routine…. P.volve.

I am certain P.volve’s stretching exercises will help alleviate the soreness resonating from my burning thighs after a week skiing in fresh powder. And the strengthening exercises should prepare my legs for our next trip to the mountains.

Prior to the arrival of my P.volve equipment I followed the streaming classes without. You can too.

Over Christmas I signed up for a trial account. It was a great workout I could feel immediately. An over achiever I pushed myself too hard, just like I did in yoga until I hurt my shoulder and had to stop. But it’s been a week, the soreness has subsided, and I am ready to get back to it and try the classes with my new P.volve equipment.

pvolve

What’s P.volve? You are probably asking that question, just about now. As described by the founder,

“Our pre-hab approach to fitness elongates your shape and builds strength without bulk, to help you carve out the most perfect body that’s right for you.”

How does one access P.volve? You can attend a class in New York or stream online.

  1. I was first introduced to P.volve on my recent trip to New York. I was helping my daughter and her roommate, Monica, (who works for the company) relocate from the Upper East Side to Soho/Little Italy. Monica thought I might like P.volve, knowing I have been a SoulCycle and Peloton addict for years. The next morning I took an Uber from our very chic hotel, The Arlo SOHO over to the original P.volve studio. (They have since grown and expanded.) I was the oldest in the class, by far, I am certain, but I think I did a pretty good job keeping up, twisting and turning and trying to stay balanced. It takes a lot of concentration. The movements are small, yet precise. The key is to keep your balance while tweaking your body. After the short workout I thought I wouldn’t feel anything. The next day, yep, I sure did. My Advice: Take It Slow.
  2. You can stream classes from the comfort and convenience of your home. Before you invest in the equipment you can get a good idea if the workout is for you by taking the classes without the equipment. Of course I pushed the envelope, again. It’s deceiving. In just 30-40 minutes your workout is finished before you know it. You might think you haven’t worked that hard, but guaranteed you have. The small movements really tighten and strengthen. Note To Self: Don’t Push Yourself Too Hard The First Few Times. Take It Slow.
  3. P.volve is headed back to LA for another POP UP class. If you can make it, Instagram me, I’d love to connect.

Details: Date And Time: Sat, January 26, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM PST.

Location: 3rd Street Dance – Studio A 8558 W. 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90048.

Located in my LA neighborhood. So convenient.

To learn more about P.volve meet Stephen “P.” Pasterino, founder of P.volve fitness, and his wife and Cuvee Founder, Rachel Katzman. It wasn’t until I returned home to California and started streaming classes that I realized the class I had taken in New York was lead by Rachel. She makes it look so easy!

Mark my words, as an early adopter of SoulCycle and Peloton, P.volve is on target to be the next big thing in fitness.

Off to class!

#CoachingAMA

I am not a life coach by professional schooling or training, I teach and share through my own experiences.

My personal experiences make me somewhat of an authority. I have found success and what works through my own experiences. Of course, what works for me might not work for another, but what else do we have then examples in life. Real Life examples I believe are much stronger and more helpful than anything I might come from a text book. Real life over science for me.

A Few More of My #AMA Responses

I want to work with clients who want to participate in their own growth. When someone asks for my help I put 110% into helping them to achieve their goals, so I expect they want the same for themselves. If they don’t really want to succeed, I know right away. I currently coach for free. I don’t charge. When you don’t charge for your services, people don’t feel they need to follow through. It is unfortunate, as when I agree to, or offer to help another person I ask them to follow up with me to let me know how things are going and what successes they have had or things they have done that we previously discussed, but they don’t. It is upsetting to me, as I am here for them, and when they fail to follow through it is disheartening. Especially, as I am here for them, it is not for me but for them. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

It’s always a bit disappointing because it is in my nature to want to help others succeed. Silly I know. If a person does not want to help themselves, why should I care, but I do. Go figure.

XOXO! #AMA Debbi

Affirm and reaffirm your goals everyday.

Don’t second guess yourself.
