The Salvation Army serves a great number of children, families and individuals in need. The goal of the Oakland Chapter is to give a Hand Up, Not a Hand Down and to Make Poverty Uncomfortable.

Take a moment to learn more about the many programs provided by the Salvation Army; I think you may be surprised, I know I was. I actually had no idea the variety of services provided by the Salvation Army. Thank you to long time friend, Peggy Huntington and board member Mary Theroux for inviting me to a charity luncheon this Christmas season at the Claremont Country Club – Pageant of the Trees – a lovely luncheon, fundraiser and presentation. 2014 DVAL Champions // Piedmont High School Girls’ and Boys’ Lacrosse Teams Take the Title

Congratulations to the 2014 Girls’ and Boys’ Lacrosse Teams for a successful season!

For the second year in a row Piedmont’s boys’ lacrosse team was crowned Diablo Valley Athletic League Champion after defeating longtime rival Bishop O’Dowd 20-8 on Friday night at Witter Field. Piedmont’s second consecutive league championship accompanies a second straight undefeated league season as well (12-0 DVAL).  Read More on the Piedmont High Boosters page

Lights Camera Action – 312 Sheridan has officially been launched. Oakland Magazine attended the Sneak Peek Preview Reception to witness the sorts of things Realtors do when bringing a luxury home to market. Not many go over the top like this, but 312 Sheridan demanded a grand debut. Neighbors, joggers and walkers passing by witnessed the on-going makeover that had been transpiring over the past year. Everyone’s curiosity was peaked. Many of the guests enjoyed sharing their stories. Some were casual walkers from the neighborhood, others serious joggers passing through from the surrounding neighborhoods, and those like myself, who drive by the home multiple times a day. 312 Sheridan was and is a well traveled route and daily routine shared by many. Raise that Paddle

What a better way to kick off the holiday season than Socializing for a Cause.  As we get older we tend to attend more parties, galas, fundraisers and events that focus on wonderful and well deserved causes, just like the Annual Holly Ball put on by the Cancer League, Inc.  This magnificent event is always a beautiful, well attended and lively evening.  This year they added a photo booth– and what a great vehicle it was getting people in the mood for a little silliness and a whole lot of fun!
