Partner with a Local Realtor for Best Results

Be sure to partner with a Realtor who is looking out for your best interests. Your Realtor should be a specialist in the area you are seeking to sell or buy residential real estate. An honest agent, not a greedy one just seeking out a big commission will want the best for their client by referring a buyer or seller to another Realtor who knows the ins and the outs and the customs and the idiosyncrasies of that particular market, as well as the facts, that may or may not be public information. Likewise, a seller must realize that greed is not in their own best interest either. A seller hoping to transact a real estate deal on their own in order to forgo paying a real estate fee to a real estate professional will more often than not lose out.

Pictured above fellow colleagues and friends who specialize in various regions throughout California. If you are seeking to buy or sell outside of the East Bay please ask for a referral and I will be sure to connect you with a professional both compatible and one with the expertise in the market you are considering.

Colleagues not Competitiors // It Pays to Be Kind

It is so important, from the very beginning, to choose an agent who is a team player and a collaborator, not a winner-take-all competitor. For any agent’s long-term success, he or she should cultivate relationships with other agents in the real estate community, not alienate them. We should all work as a team, rather than as individual islands. If one agent has the listing, another is going to bring the buyer; that’s just how it works, so it pays to be kind. The Property / The Project | 110 Maxwelton Road

Each home we list has its own set of issues we must address prior to market. Upon listing a home Adam and I walk through the entire home with our client detailing all the items we feel should be addressed. We do not ask the seller to commit to our long list of changes, repairs or updates at this time. However, our next step is to book inspections so we can gather information about the property and its condition; as well as to obtain bids on work we hope the seller will agree to implement. Here is a quick list of inspections we always obtain: Roof, Electrical, Furnace, Water Heater, Sewer Lateral, Termite, Foundation, Fireplace/Chimney as well as to obtain a complete Home Inspection.
